Greetings

It’s time to get this show on the road! Like many before me, I’ve decided to take the plunge and escape from “wage slavery”. The rat race has, I must confess, been good to me, at least in the financial sense. But recently, I’ve realised that I’m poor, in terms of lifestyle, free time and choices, and so it’s time to put that right.

In a few weeks, I’ll be quitting my job and moving to Bali, a place which is beautiful, relaxing, and cheap! From there I’ll be earning money with nothing but my laptop and a few ideas, and this blog will tell the tale. I’ll also be living life more fully, exploring Bali and the region, getting fit and playing sports, and continuing to spend many hours toying with technology and the web, and I’ll write about it all on this site. Hopefully, readers will learn about the tools and techniques that I learn and use to make a living on the web, with no bosses, conference calls or 9 to 5 boredom required.

Please join me on this exciting journey, and we might even learn a thing or two.

  • How soon will you update your blog? I'm interested in reading some more information on this issue.

You'll love Bali. Go for that.
I am in Bali. Tell me when you're in Bali.
    Cheers,

Wow! Thanks everyone for the comments, I have to say that I'm pretty amazed that you've all taken the time to not only read my little introduction, but also to write a comment... I guess the blogging community is even friendlier than I expected. The comments took me a little bit by surprise though, hence I didn't even approve them until the last couple of days! Thanks again though for your kind words and encouragement.

@Lora - I've just turned 38, and I'm married with a son who'll turn 2 in July. So I've got to make it count!

@imsuryawan - Not in Bali yet, but I'm counting the minutes until I arrive at the end of this month.

@Miltski - I might well see you in one of those places as I'm intent on seeing more of this beautiful region, although Bali will be my home. Nice blog, too.

@Balisugar - I'll have to belajar lebih banyak bahasa Indonesia so I can read more of your site!

@Cathy and @Vicky - Thanks for the best wishes.

I have now (finally) quit my job so will be posting regularly in future, and I need to tidy up this theme!

  • So, are you in Bali now?
  • How old are you? Ok whatever, just make what you do count. Can you do that? Yeah that's hard isn't it. Now don't fail your mission.

    Be safe...
  • Wow, congratulations! I will be keeping an eye on your progress.
  • Go for it! Congratulations!
  • G'day Mate. I stay in Bali, cheer
